2013 ELECTION COUNTDOWN
Here are simple reminders when Voting:
- Bring your valid voters ID with your registration stub and present it to your voting precinct on May 13. Your credit card won’t be honored, so don’t even try. :)
- Get your ballot from the Board of Election Inspectors area and listen carefully to the instructions that will be given. This means stop texting and pay attention! :)
- Double check the ballot. Make sure it has no noticeable marks and shadings. Don’t be an instrument for cheating. :)
- Fill up the ballot only in the voting area. Shade the circle carefully beside the name of the candidate you want to vote for, and do not over-vote. For example, we only need 1 Governor, not two, so shade only one name for that position.:)
- Proceed to the counting machine area and insert your ballot in the appropriate slot. Pay attention to the screen because a confirmation message will appear to indicate that your vote has been successfully read.:)
- Even if you are voting in an automated election environment, you cannot escape indelible inking. Enjoy a blue fingernail for at least two days.
- Congratulations! You have just exercised your right to vote.Pray there won’t be massive blackouts across the country when the votes are counted.:)
